This Privacy Policy explains how KongNetwork Co., Ltd. (“Konvo”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Konvo desktop app and website (the “Service”).
1. Information we collect
- Account data — your email address and a securely hashed password.
- Meeting audio — audio from your microphone and meeting/system output is streamed to our speech provider for live transcription. We do not store audio recordings.
- Transcripts & translations — generated text. Transcripts are stored locally on your device, not uploaded to our servers, and you can delete them at any time.
- Usage & credits — minutes transcribed, AI requests, and credit balance, used for metering and billing.
- Payment data — handled entirely by our payments provider (Paddle). We never receive or store your full card details.
- Technical data — IP address, app version, and platform, used for security, fraud/abuse prevention, and rate limiting.
2. How we use your information
- To provide transcription, translation, summaries, and answer suggestions.
- To create and secure your account and authenticate you.
- To meter usage, manage credits, and process payments.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To send essential account and verification emails.
We do not sell your personal data or use your meeting content to train third-party advertising models.
3. Sub-processors
We rely on the following providers to operate the Service. Each processes only the data needed for its function:

4. Data retention
Audio is processed in transit and not retained as recordings. Account data is kept while your account is active. Transcripts are stored on your device and are never uploaded to our servers; you control them and can delete them at any time. We may retain limited billing and security records as required by law.
5. Security
We use encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords, scoped/short-lived service credentials, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data using industry-standard practices.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. You can delete transcripts from your device and delete your account from within the app at any time.
7. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and the EU, by the providers listed above. We rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to individuals under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Cookies
Our website uses only essential cookies needed for the site and authentication to function. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
10. Recording responsibility
You are responsible for complying with applicable recording and consent laws and for obtaining consent from meeting participants where required. See our Terms of Service.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date.
