An AI note taker that never joins your meeting

Konvo is a desktop AI note taker for Mac, Windows and Linux. Instead of sending a bot into the call, it listens to your computer’s audio and your microphone. It writes a live transcript, translates it into 40+ languages, summarizes while the meeting is still going, and can record your screen. Transcripts, summaries and recordings are saved on your computer, not on our servers. Pro is $9 a month, or $69 a year.

What it does during the meeting

A live transcript that separates who said what, captured from the meeting audio and your own microphone together.

Translation that streams word by word while people are still talking, into any of 40+ languages. If you want to answer in their language, say it in yours and Konvo shows it translated and can read it aloud.

A running summary that updates as the meeting goes: key points, decisions and action items. You choose how often it refreshes, from every 10 seconds to every 10 minutes. When someone asks you a question, Konvo can draft a reply you can read out.

What you have after it ends

Every session is saved in its own folder on your computer: the full transcript, a subtitle file, and the screen recording if you turned it on. You can open old sessions offline.

One click summarizes the whole transcript, start to finish, into structured notes. Screen recording is free on every plan, and on macOS and Windows Konvo hides its own window from the video.

Notes in your language, whatever language the meeting is in

Note takers usually write the notes in the language the meeting was held in. Konvo writes the summary in the language you read, so a meeting held in German and English can end as notes in Japanese, Polish or Vietnamese.

For meetings that switch languages, Mixed mode detects English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese and Hindi at the same time, even mid-sentence. Ultra mode goes further and recognises the language of each sentence on its own, which covers languages Mixed mode doesn’t, such as Polish or Vietnamese.

Why no bot matters now

Most AI note takers join your call as a participant. In March 2026 Google Meet began warning hosts about third-party notetaker bots. Since June, Microsoft Teams marks external bots as unverified and asks the organizer to approve them.

Konvo has nothing to admit or block, because it never enters the meeting. That also means it works where bots can’t go: Slack huddles, a browser tab, a phone call on speaker, or a call with no meeting link at all.

Where your data goes

Meeting audio is streamed to our speech provider for live transcription and isn’t kept as a recording. To translate and summarize, transcript text is sent to our AI providers and the result comes straight back to you.

The transcript, the summaries and the video are written to your own disk. Our servers keep your account and billing details, plus a note of which sessions you summarized, not what was said in them.

What it costs

About 30 minutes free with no card. Pro is $9 a month for roughly 25 hours of meetings, or $69 a year, which works out to about $5.75 a month for the same hours. One flat price, no per-seat billing, cancel anytime. Payments go through Paddle, which handles VAT and invoices.

For comparison, billed annually: Otter Pro is $8.33 a month, Notta Pro $8.17, Tactiq Pro $8 and Fireflies Pro $10 per user. Billed monthly, Otter is $16.99 and Fireflies $18. Otter and Fireflies don’t translate live. Notta caps live translation at two uses a month, and Tactiq translates captions in browser meetings only.

What it does not do

Questions we get

What is a bot-free AI note taker?
It’s a note taker that runs on your own computer and listens to the meeting audio there, instead of joining the call as an extra participant. Nobody sees it in the participant list and the organizer doesn’t have to let it in. Konvo works this way on Mac, Windows and Linux.
Does Konvo work with Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet?
Yes, and with any other app that plays sound on your computer: Slack, Webex, WhatsApp, a browser tab or a phone call on speaker. It doesn’t connect to the meeting platform, so there’s no integration to install.
Can it take notes in a meeting that uses two languages?
Yes. Pick Mixed as the listening language and Konvo follows switches between ten languages, even mid-sentence. For languages outside those ten, such as Polish or Vietnamese, use Ultra mode. Either way the summary is written in the language you choose.
Is Konvo free?
Konvo has a free trial of about 30 minutes, no card needed. After that Pro is $9 a month for roughly 25 hours of meetings, or $69 a year (about $5.75 a month) for the same hours.
Are my meetings stored on Konvo’s servers?
No. Transcripts, summaries and recordings are saved on your computer. Audio and text pass through our speech and AI providers to be processed in real time, and Konvo doesn’t keep a copy of what was said.
Can Konvo record the meeting?
Yes. Turn on screen recording before you press Start and the video is saved next to the transcript on your computer. It’s free on every plan. On macOS and Windows, Konvo hides its own window from the recording.
Does it work offline?
No. Transcription, translation and summaries run on cloud AI, so you need an internet connection during the meeting. Saved transcripts and recordings open offline.
