Konvo vs Granola

Granola is the note taker most people think of when they want no bot in the call, and it’s very good at that. Konvo works the same way underneath. The differences are language, where your notes live, and what happens while the meeting is still running.

Both stay out of the meeting. Pick Granola for polished English notes, mobile and team sharing. Pick Konvo when the meeting isn’t in your language, or your notes shouldn’t sit in someone else’s cloud.

When to pick Granola instead

Questions we get

Is Konvo a Granola alternative?
Yes, if you liked that Granola doesn’t send a bot but you need more on language or privacy. Both listen through your computer. Konvo also translates live into 40+ languages, writes the summary in the language you read, and keeps transcripts and recordings on your own disk.
Does Granola translate meetings in real time?
No. Granola transcribes live and writes notes after the meeting, in English or the meeting’s main language. You can ask its chat to translate parts afterwards. Konvo streams the translation while the person is still speaking.
Which one keeps my notes private?
Neither keeps your audio. The difference is the text: Granola stores transcripts and notes in its cloud on AWS in the US, kept until you or your admin delete them. Konvo writes transcripts, summaries and recordings to your computer, and our servers don’t keep meeting content.
Which is cheaper?
For paid use, Konvo: $9 a month, or $69 a year (about $5.75 a month), against $14 per user for Granola Business. Granola’s free plan is more generous than our 30-minute trial, so if the free plan covers you, that’s cheaper still.
