Konvo vs Notta

Notta is the default choice for meeting transcription in Japan, and it’s a good one. It also beats us on hours and on price. The difference shows up in one row of the table.

Notta is the better transcription tool and costs less per hour. Konvo wins only if you need translation running in every meeting, because Notta rations it to two uses a month.

Questions we get

Does Notta translate meetings in real time?
It has the feature, but the pricing page limits monolingual real-time translation to two uses a month on every tier, free through Business. That’s fine for the occasional call with an overseas client. If every second meeting runs in a language you don’t speak, you’ll hit the cap in the first week.
Is Konvo cheaper than Notta?
No. Notta Pro is ¥1,980 a month, or $8.17 a month billed annually, and includes 1,800 minutes. That’s 30 hours against our 25, for less. We’re the more expensive option on transcription alone.
So when is Konvo the better buy?
When translation is the point rather than a bonus. Konvo streams it word by word in 40+ languages with no monthly cap, and can speak your reply back in the other person’s language. If you only need Japanese transcription, buy Notta.
